Cancer Dating Guide
Here are some things you can do with Cancer to ensure a successful date. Go for a dessert, cook your date a candle-lit gourmet meal at home, feed the ducks, rent a movie together, go to the museum, go swimming together, go for a long walk on the beach around a lake, do a joint spa treatment or massage, go to an aquarium together, go sailing together, go ice-skating

You & Your Cancer
Do's
Treat your Cancer to a home cooked meal, or pick them flowers from your garden. Focus on them -- they need the attention -- and appreciate the tokens of material security. Learn to enjoy quiet, private evenings at home. They will show you how fulfilling these times can be. Remember and commemorate 'special days,' such as Valentine's Day and the anniversary of your first date. Enjoy their nurturing nature -- they will protect you from the harsh world on all the other days of the year. Be a caring companion and an emotional ballast. Your Cancer will engulf you in love and emotion. Show your Cancer how much you appreciate the emotional richness of your life together. Open your heart -- they will show you how to give and receive emotionally, trust completely and find true security in a relationship.

Don'ts
Never make fun of your Cancer, even if you think you're being gentle. They will take you seriously, and could get very hurt or angry. Don't let yourself be influenced by this Sign's mood swings. Your Cancer will take you on an emotional roller coaster that will leave your head spinning! Don't expect to be the boss of a Cancer; they won't be stepped on. Emotional Cancer has definite ideas of what they want, and can be a bit manipulative when it suits them. Don't be too pushy at first or too rough later on. Your Cancer will lash out or shrink away from this kind of treatment. Cancers prefer to be petted or adored. Never treat family matters lightly or flippantly. Your Cancer may determine that you undervalue loved ones and domestic life, both of which Cancer holds dear.

I don't know - I'm getting really tired of being "nurturing." I'm good at it, I just don't want to be defined by it anymore.

curgoth's interview

1. Blonde, brunette or redhead? (take whatever spin on that you want)

Redhead, both for me and for my partner. :)

But my hair just won't turn red enough, damn it! I've tried a couple of different dyes and hennas, but it never looks as red as I want it to be. My hair is just too dark, I'm afraid.

2. Where would you live if all other considerations could be ignored (i.e., assume that the Redheaded one was also happy with it, and you both had jobs, etc.)

Probably by the ocean, or by a mountain. I don't think I could live very well somewhere where there isn't water nearby. There's something about having that presence there. Someplace without many people. And lots of green. I've had it with concrete.

3.How did you meet the Redheaded one?

At a bingo hall. We were both helping out with a bingo for a local theatre company.

Cheesier yet, we got together at a "Bitterness Party" on Valentine's Day about 8 months later.

4. If you didn't have to worry about making money doing it, what would you be doing with your life?

I'd be working on my research, without necessarily worrying about getting a degree. (Although maybe I would) I don't need a degree to do what I'm doing, it's just the rest of the world that won't pay me to work on my research without one.

And I'd work on breaking into acting professionally, 'cause then I'd have the money and time to travel to auditions.

5. If you could have one custom-made "dream thing" (e.g., dream house built to your imagination, dream car, etc), what would it be?

Probably a dream house. With beautiful bright offices for both the red-headed one and I, and lots of comfortable space to entertain friends and role-play. And somewhere comfortable to do yoga, and work on physicality in my acting.

And many, many bookshelves.

Rules
1. Leave a comment saying you want to be interviewed.
2. I'll reply and give you five questions to answer.
3. You'll update your LJ with the five questions answered.
4. You'll include this explanation.
5. You ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed. And it just keeps going, and going, and going.

neeuqdrazil's questions:

1. What is your earliest memory?

I think my earliest memory is actually a dream. I don't know how old I was, but I dreamed that I was at my grandmother's house and the Incredible Hulk was trying to break in and we hid in the basement.

If not that, then throwing up in my aunt's van when I was three.

2. When did you decide that you wanted to act?

I don't know. 'Twasn't exactly a decision. I always made people do plays with me, and played lots of make-believe, which you know all about :) I always tried out for everything, even though I hate auditions, but it never occurred to me not to try out.

I guess I first thought of it being a potential career when I was 16 in high school. Before that I'd always said "well, whatever I end up being, I'll always have acting as part of my life," but then it occurred to me that the acting was the only constant.

Now it feels like I've lost my nerve a bit, and backed off from the "being an actor" thing. Hopefully I'll come back to it eventually.

3. What is your favourite role to play?

Loretta, in The Melville Boys. It was the first time I ever discovered that being sexy was something I could do.

And she was so much fun to play in so many ways. Such a well-rounded character.

4. Remember when...?

we used to pretend to be Greek goddesses and ate toothpaste, saying it was ambrosia?

5. What would your ideal job be, and why?

I'd love to pursue acting, as long as I didn't have to worry about needing to make money while doing it. Otherwise, I'd just like to be left alone to work on my research.
